Viewing a Cayenne Turbo - checklist?
Discussion
You can't expect perfection on a 10 year old car, especially a complex one like this. As long as it's straight, not been crashed, has the paperwork and has been looked after, then get it bought. Decent tyres and last service at this age a good indication of how it's been looked after. Also, does the vendor come across as someone who has been able to maintain it? This is not fool proof, but can add to the picture.
Going to collect Friday pm or Saturday am!
Compared to the (low spec) V6 it's night and day difference. The V6 really is bordering dangerous in terms of how slow it was IMO. The turbo goes the other way and is far faster than it needs to be! Really, the V8 would have been perfect, but the engine issues were too much of a risk for me.
The interior was much more what you'd expect in this sort of car too. Heated front and rears, 4 zone climate, memory seats etc.
Just trying to work out the best iPhone/bluetooth solution for PCM2.1. It seems to be Dension or mObridge, but nothing much conclusive from what I can find on here or Rennlist. Dension is cheaper so thats leading at the moment!

Another option is the Dynavin head unit. It is still a little buggy, but I found my early Dension clumsy and buggy too. Rennlist thread:

Well, here we go!
Had my first issue already, the one thing I didn't check properly before buying was the shifting to low range, locking diffs etc. my mistake and I've learnt the hard way!
Messing around with the car on Friday and locked the diffs up as I was learning what did what. Tried to shift back to high range and it wouldn't, throwing a 4wd fault. Gutted!
Spent quite a while searching on Rennlist and Renntech and found it was likely to be the servo motor on the transfer case. Also saw mention of people taking it off, manually selecting high range and then fitting the motor back on. So, after a few attempts (and then eventually realising I needed it in neutral before it would switch!) I got the car back into high range and it's fine.
New motor to be purchased.
Otherwise it's great! Will give it a mention in the poverty pork thread too!

No more pictures yet, I spent most of the weekend under it rather than in it!
iPhone/Bluetooth wise, I've had 2 places refuse to quote on a Dension as they won't supply them. Then 1 quote of ~£950 for a mobridge install. If that's what it will cost then the Pioneer F60dab at £1250 fitted is quite likely.
