Whenever you mention the greateness of the 964RS (very true) I only assume you have got your back on the road and not relying on a distant memory pre badgering it.
Hardly taking the piss? Just hoping you had got back in a Porsche......are you going along on Sunday??

How long ago I drove the 964RS is pretty much irrelevant; my memory isn't that bad I drove a Fiat Panda 4x4 back in 1991 and can still give you an opinion on it now: it was a pile of sh*t! That said, you won't find me spouting forth will all sorts of subtle observations about 964RS handling characteristics because they will be rusty if not downright forgotten; I need to retain some small portion of integrity.

One day I will get back into Porsche ownership properly; they are simply the best mainstream sports cars around. The 996GT3RS has a certain attraction - are you considering one post 993RS?

seems expensive. i was offered rhd same miles for 60 a month ago and definately not dodgy. i think the prices on these things are pretty opaque, the number in auto trader is the offer!

The car has full service history with Graypaul Ferrari and one owner (cambelts changed in june, less than 500miles ago). Hmmm.......

I think that price sounds pretty good given the mileage, and as regards putting miles on them - I know of at least 1 person on PH who has a 360 wtih 50k+ miles on the clock and its stronger than ever.
If I were in your position I'd definitely go for it, at least then you've ticked that box. I'm sure the GT3 is technically a superior car, but no question there is something about the 360 that a GT3 just cannot capture.

The feeling of your wallet being dangled over a precipice?

Actually Ferraris sound great, but thats the same kind of logic that can land you with a TVR!

Dom, as much as I am impressed with the Gt3RS, I really prefer the 993RS,,,the plan is to look out for a very clean low mileage example to keep.
As this may take weeks to months for the right car to come along, I may buy a 7 in the meantime so that I have something to take to the track.

Guess I have come to my senses, buying a 360 just as winter starts is not the best idea (living in Sweden). Not always easy being crazy about cars
