So has anyone had any issues with their milltek cat back? There are many reports (on planet porsche) of it rubbing the arb on lowered cars and also of welds failing and bits coming loose in the muffler. The attraction of the milltek is that it does not drone or resonate, a shame it has some bad press (which is putting me off buying one).

Does the Remus drone? I think it is louder than a milltek?
Have had Miltek cat-less (catback) with no issues for over 12 months now. Not the loudest exhaust but no drone.

Having heard Mrd's remus exhaust it is louder and very nice but can't speak for the drone.

Very happy with mine as it definitely improved the performance and noise of the car (just enough) before the Softronic plenum and remap.

Depends on what you want - they are all compromised in one form or another. I think the Miltek issues were related to manifolds (which are no longer for sale) although I am aware of a couple in the country which have full Miltek exhaust for '000s of miles including hard track use with no issues.

so the milltek must have very good silencers then if the noise increase is not a lot (there must be some noise increase though!)? I notice that it has silencers where the 2nd cats would be, is this the reason for it being quiet?

No drone is an absolute priority for me and improved performance. Maybe I will give the milltek a go.

Thanks for the inputs so far.

Thinking I will get the 19's and then see about suspension mods later.

Exhaust system, maybe miltek.

The plenum upgrade does sound interesting and quite simple.

Doing the plenum without the remap, do you still think there would be gains to be had?

Would think the ecu would need to be programmed for the higher flow rates with a bigger plenum.

and if the car was not a PASM car I would fit KW3 Shocks.
MrD, you are obvioulsy a guy who researches everything fully before buying, so I'm interested to know why you would choose the KW3 over the Bilstein B16 PSS9/10 option.

Interesting stuff. I only remember how the 3.2 engine felt relatively uninspiring in the Boxster... I wonder how the tuned 3.4 compares to the newest direct injection 3.4 ?
