Essential,
Did you buy the dark blue 993 GT2 from GT Classics?

Yes,
Bought it via tom though.
I was after a rs, sold my rhd rs a few years back, had plenty of other cars since but regreted it ever since. Looked at a few, got dropped on a few and it just wasn't happening. Really wasn't looking for a gt2 and def not one in metalic blue. Prob is I saw it and loved it, heard it and smiled, drove it and couldn't stop smiling.
Still hanker after a rs though.

flemke my rs started out at 1290kg.The germans must have had there boot on it!
Oh, okay.
I thought that we were talking about original cars (RR had started this out but referring to a car that was "in almost new condition" and weighed 1085).
You're saying that your car, at least, had been heavily modified, which may have improved its circuit performance whilst reducing its market value (a position that most all of us have been in). That's plausible.
You can take a lot of weight out of a car if you don't mind whether the windows open or if it has a heater or a passenger seat.
Cheers.
The car RR was ref to was a nearly/like new car,but not standard,so you may be forgiven. It had carbon doors, front lid,mag wheels etc
My car looks fairly standard from the outside, was not concerned about a small amount of depreciation,as speed and times were my priority to win the P1 speed champs class. It now has very good race history, possibly worth more ,but who cares its part of the family now after 7 good years. It Now has no heater, aircon or opening windows, tasty hand made ali doors though.

Paul,
Would you be so kind as to list all the weight saving measures in your car please? You have mentioned ali doors (does this mean aluminium alloy?), no heater or aircon.......but what else?
Mine, of course, will always be heavy in PHer Clubsport's book because it has airjacks. It does, however, have a carbon rear wing!
