Simple question: Do we think the 996 GT3 prices will rapidly rise as per the 964/993 RS' in the next few years? Prices seem to have frozen for the past 2/3 years, so could this just be because we are in tough times?

Obviously not you'll be lucky to get £10 in a few years, even the GT3 engine is bound to fail, etc
I think that the 996 GT3 RS is certain to increase in value over the next 5 years, bear in mind that in right hand drive spec there was only around 137 made and 8 years later how many have original panels and paint work cars are left? I beleave that 1/3 of the cars are blue and white and the remaining 2/3 are red! If you split that down these are very rare and the low mile original example will increase in value.
996 GT3 RS owner certain of prices rising shocker!! Nothing is certain, especially when it comes to used cars. But if I was putting my money down, this would be one of the better bets for sure. But remember that it took several decades for the 964/993RS values to take off and there was a very definite end of era full stop after the 993. So future values of 996/997 RSs will also depend to some extent on how the 991 and future models are perceived.

I think that the good examples of all versions are now slowly disappearing. A few years ago there was always a great selection on offer, nowadays a lot of dogs and high milers. As this gets worse and worse I see them going up.
Bongo Bingo !
