£400 fully comp, with business use, 5,000 miles/year, SE23. Car is garaged, but that didn’t make any difference. 911 cab.

Thanks to the massive population I guess, seen loads of idiotic mini accidents in both east and central London. Lucky to have underground garage, would never leave any car in the street in London, absolutely bonkers.

I'm five minutes from the Horniman, really nice area - been here since 2010, having lived in W1, N1, E1 and EC1 before.

[quote=Bullet-Proof_Biscuit]Sorry about digging up this thread again but, I just moved to Balham and I'm shopping for a 3.2 986, and my insurance quote comes out as £1800! 3y ncb, 8k business miles, £500 excess.

Up slightly from £500 in the west midlands.. And I haven't seen one gangster here since I moved in last week.

I may use a different home address because that is just ridiculous.

There are TWO 996's on my road also!

There are secure garages for rent in balham (wandle Rd). That might give you some peace of mind and cheaper insurance!

I swear the SE is under valued at the morning. Well parts of it. SE9, Garage, Drive, 3 gardens (i'm on the end). Granted it's only 2 bedrooms which definitely impacts value but it has the space to loft convert to 3 bedrooms.

Doubt i'd get 450k for it...........and it's a really nice leafy area. 10 minutes walk to Station which gets you to Victoria, Waterloo, London Bridge or Cannon Street within 30/40 minutes depending on which train............

I can't believe a 700k............leasehold with a 4k a year (I guess) service charge for a flat, with secure parking for one car............just seems a lot to me!!
