New to Porsche

Hi, I have brought a 997.1 Carrera S from a Slough company and the car was prepped to a fantastic condition, I have had it now for 2 months and should have taken a test drive before parting with the money as the ride is unbelievable hard, its apparently got a sports suspension.
It has the sports button on the dash BUT no suspension button that is fitted to most Carrera s models.
I am told my car is lower by 20mm than standard, my question is can I do something about the hard ride as its driving me mad so much so I am thinking of selling it already as the rattling from the windows ect on rough roads is driving me fu ***ng mad...
Never again will I buy a car without a test drive again, no mater what they say...............

The button on the left is for the rear spoiler, the one next to it is the suspension button (on means its stiffer than normal) and the sport button is (I think) to make the throttle more responsive.

Are you saying the ride is very hard but the car has no suspension button like in the picture?

If you have the -20mm and LSD there is no pasm.


But you will have a fantastic handling car !!!!

Mike, I am so grateful for the link, puts my mind at rest, as I said, new to Porsche, after 18 years of TVRs so still learning.

Mike, I am so grateful for the link, puts my mind at rest, as I said, new to Porsche, after 18 years of TVRs so still learning.

Depending on what you paid. Hold on tight as this will be a future Classic in mho. Enjoy the rattles, it will drive like a dream and if possible get it tracked (day)

Hi Dave they are 19" wheels with Zero,s all round

P Zeros are not known for the best ride quality, but changing them is only going to yield a marginal improvement.

What tyre pressures are you running?
