Hi all,
I may have found a replacement finally - but it is Cobalt Blue... Any thoughts on whether this will make it difficult at resale time??
Cheers

To directly answer your question, I would say it would help sell it if anything. With most marmite colours there are less buyers BUT fewer cars too which balances it out.I may have found a replacement finally - but it is Cobalt Blue... I personally love cobalt.

I love it. Shortly after I bought my 996 turbo from them, Harbour cars got a cobalt blue 997 turbo in. It was absolutely gorgeous and it took a serious amount of willpower not to start discussing prices with them. It was collected by the new owner last weekend I think - which I was very happy about, since the temptation has now gone!
Had it been there when I viewed my 996 turbo I'm pretty sure I'd now be driving a cobalt blue 997 turbo.

Are you being model specific?
My Cayman S is cobalt blue and love it.
Equally, seen boxsters, 997 turbo in it and think it looks amazing.
It has to be what you like rather than worrying too much about resale..... except if you had a taste for barbie pink!! ...... that might hurt come resale.
Silver and black is always going to be popular. Some models like Gt3 then white or yellow will be popular but maybe less so on other models.

Is cobalt blue really a marmite colour? I love it as do a lot of people above
Oh well, if it does reduce values then I guess that's better for me in the long run
As above, buy what you want, there will always be people to buy your car who love the colour too, would you rather it took a month longer to sell and you had a car in the colour YOU like for a few years or that you could sell quickly but spend a few years with a car that had the second choice in colour? Buy for number one
