Love the cars, but they are seriously expensive..
How much for a straight, full history 50k miler
And do you think they are a good investment?
Cheers
Opinions vary; therefore, this is usually a can of worms with owners talking them up and buyers talking them down, or in some cases trying to be realistic. How much for a straight, full history 50k miler

Your first question is the most loaded one - so much depends on condition, number of owners, quality of service history, colour combination and level of maintenance of the car over the years (not service history but work carried out because these cars are now 20-years old and do suffer from typical older car issues (rust, oil leaks, interior cracking, sunroofs leaking).
I've seen cars down at £45k and was recently offered a LHD 10,000 mile car, very low owners, MINT (as in close to new/museum condition) for £70k asking; HOWEVER, I have been aware of this car for 24-months and it hasn't found a buyer at that price - as is said, something is only worth what a buyer is willing to pay for it and thus, you could say after 2-years, there isn't someone willing to pay the asking price for what is possibly one of the nicest Turbo 3.6s left.
RHD cars are also going to have a limited market, for obvious reasons, and imho, it is the LHD ones that went mad but have now calmed down.
No matter how the car is described, get it checked out - there are a lot of rough/ex-damaged cars floating around and they aren't cheap to keep in great condition. Like many old cars, some people bought them when they were cheap and didn't have the cash to maintain them; therefore, you could easily be walking into a massive bill if you buy wrong.
All imho and simply my opinion based on looking for my ideal car.
just search the forum, plenty of discussion on prices.. adrian crawford sold rhd "mint" car for nigh on 80k a while back... couple of 50-60k milers traded around 60-65k months back.. i dont think lhd cars are trading as high as right hand..there were only 43 rhd made for the uk and one (minty) was wrecked. if you are not concerned which side the steering wheel is have a look on mobile.de
as mentioned 43 i believe til minty was wrecked.. for that kind of money 85-90 i'd rather have a mint 964 rs.. some of the usual suspects advertise the cars and take them off again within days saying sold.. personally i suspect they go back in the warehouse. i would certainly consider selling if 90k is the new going rate!

Cheers guys
Paragon have one coming in two weeks for 85k, jzm have a real low miler coming in for 90k
As they are so rare, and the last rear drive turbo ever, while expensive, I have a hunch they are a good investment if it's a good car. Only 42 uk cars. Am I wrong??
Not quite the last rear drive air cooled turbo produced. 993GT2 holds that honour. But I do agree that they are a good investment. Just make sure you buy a very good one. Paragon have one coming in two weeks for 85k, jzm have a real low miler coming in for 90k

The only reason they are expensive is due to rarity.
As a car they are virtully the same as a 3.3.
Drive one back to back and there is not much between them.
Having owned a 3.3 for nearly 10 years, I wouldn't listen to the doom mongers.
Buy on condition and you won't go far wrong, and for 80k the car needs to be perfect.IMO

I think Bramleys sold it a while back having just googled it
i think that was a different car, had wrong alloys and other bits.. there are quite a few midnight blue cars about.. this car was advertised by the owner for 65k here on ph and then apparently sold for 75(?) via jzm shortly after SOR.. believe its the only rhd maritime 3.6 was previously modded but returned to near factory by the last owner

didnt rodney mention he might be selling his speed yellow one?
re 3.3t would agree, almost all the performance and actually if you convert to efi actually more..

I'd previously bought the car from Paragon for £50k, but spent £20k getting it in tip top condition.
Cheers
indeed as we discussed before much the same as me, paid 50 for mine (three years ago) and spent similar amount.. literally needs nothing now.
interesting article in one of the classic mags this month that collectors are favouring the more exclusive (simply fewer built) RHD models these days after years of wanting LHD as it had a more global market.
with QE set to last forever i guess values steady/slowly upwards will prevail.. with a lot of the collectors/wealth for these and other far more exotic cars based now in Oz and Far East, RHD is cool again!
