Porsche at it again. Sad tale of a 991
Discussion
The problem seems to stem from the way PCNA/PCGB deal with these issues. You can tell from this guy and as I know myself, it's not so much the problems with the cars. It is how difficult Porsche make it to to get a reasonable and swift resolution when thigs go bad. I would say it was worse for me dealing with Porsche GB than the disappointment of the problems with the car itself. Although my problems were eventually sorted that has jaded my veiw of Porsche as a brand for ever.
Agree, one of the biggest issues is the way problems are dealt with.
Feel bad for the guy in the video - just noticed he posted an update to the video linked by the OP. Frankly, pretty worrying that Porsche didn't resolve these issues swiftly, given that the problems with his car could be downright dangerous.

Interesting that Porsche Cars North America were trying to bully him into accepting a deal where he would have to take a loss on selling the car back to them... As per the title, "sad tale" indeed.

That guy set off my bullst alarm. I think he's had a couple of genuine problems and then started a campaign involving a bit of sharp practice. He strikes me as a tosser. He could also easily have rejected the car/sued if he wanted to, but he prefers a smear campaign.
Said the Customer Service Manager for Porsche North America......xftdr said:

It's worth viewing his other videos. He loves(d) the car and these issues seem to have happened after a while of ownership. His 6m review was gushing and he'd done 12k miles at that stage. Not sure you can reject a car that far down the line?Skittles001 said:

Disagree...... it appears he's given Porsche every chance to fix the issues he's had and then more start occuring. I mean a strong smell of acid in the cabin, would that not worry you??Personally, after the time he's allowed this to carry on, I'd be driving to the dealers, parking the car outside their front door and refusing to move until I got a full refund of the purchase price
If what he says is true with the time line, that is fking crap service from Porsche and the Dealer

Fair enough. Bullst alarm is maybe a bit sensitive. Sue or shut up would be my plan, though. Whining is a bit tiresome.
He issued papers. Would you be happy with a car that took you five years to Dave up for being such a lemon? It's done the trick, Porsche are replacing it. Seems a million hits on the internet does the trick...

What a load of crap. The guys seems calm to me considering all the st he has had to put up with. Thank god i no longer want Porsches.I had my medicine 8 years ago with a new 997 that had a list of faults the dealer was either unable or unwilling to fix (like water that pissed in the rear window when it rained, or you washed it).
Been air cooled ever since and havn't looked back, and bonus, I am not loosing £10k per year, I am probably gaining it!
