Is there an easy way to remove the washer tank for cleaning, the reason I ask is that from owning the car every time I use the winscreen washers I also get a musty smell inside the cabin.

The previous owner of the car owned it for almost a year but only covered a few hundred miles so I'm guessing it had been left standing with a little water in the tank and over time this water has has gone off and left some moldy residue on the inside of the water tank.

It has never really bothered me before but at this time of the year when you are constantly washing your windscreen the smell has started to get on my nerves.

Cheers

Why not just put a couple of hundred ml of pure screenwash in there, go for a drive round the block, then come back, ping the wipers out of the way, and squirt the screen until the tank is empty?

I would imagine getting the bottle out is a nightmare....

If you do the above, make sure you have a hose pipe handy to wash the neat washer additive from the paint work. I think neat fluid is not good for the paint? Could be wrong though

This sounds like the ideal opportunity to take the washer tank out, throw it away and upgrade to the RS version...they fitted a smaller tank on RS models which holds 1 litre of fluid, you will no doubt find performance advantages from the weight reduction.
