Festival of Porsche - This weekend
Discussion
PCGB are holding their national event this weekend at Brands Hatch http://www.festivalofporsche.com/
Offer code 'PORSCHECLUB' will you you a discount off of tickets.
I think there is quite a big race programme for the weekend although the main day is the Sunday.
I've entered the concours . Doubt i'll win as my car isn't a garage queen (trips to the tip, taken off road, driven hard!!) and is my first attempt but look out for a shiney yellow 987

Yes, I will be there.
It is a big event. Sunday is the main day and has been publicised as such.
There is a track day on Friday which is very close to if not already fully booked, I think there are some half day sessions left though and lots of on-track activity over the weekend with some pretty special cars both on track and on display. Derek Bell and some pretty special guests will be there, it should be good.

Brands Hatch is the perfect place to hold this kind of event IMO. Much better than than having it at a boring old house with nothing to do except look a Porsches that you have see a million times before
Why not Donnington or Oulton Park? At least they would be more central to the rest of the UK. Blimey even the PCGB HQ is in central England or as near damn it.Wozy68 said:

They're probably dearer to hire exclusively than Brands Indy. This event was very good in 2005 at Brands, every reason to think this one will be just as good. Except that I'm not racing at it Wozy68 said:
Nope, wont be going.
Why oh why stage a national event in the most populated far corner of the Country?
I'd sooner have my eyeballs scooped out with a blunt knife, than head down there and drive the M25 on a jolly.
Dont fking come then !!!Why oh why stage a national event in the most populated far corner of the Country?

I'll be there - driving in a blue '88 930 turbo.
I know it's meant to be a celebration of the turbo, so is there any special turbo parking area or anything?
Yes, but don't know how easy it'll be able to tag on at such short notice. Rob Kellock ( rob.kellock on here) was helping them line up the display from 9am this morning, there's also a track parade scheduled for tomorrow between some of the races.I know it's meant to be a celebration of the turbo, so is there any special turbo parking area or anything?
PM me for Rob's mobile number if you want it.

I'm showing my 2005 996 turbo s. You had to contact porsche club gb ages ago to show the cars. They are lining up every turbo variant from the beginning to up to date.I know it's meant to be a celebration of the turbo, so is there any special turbo parking area or anything?
