Heard it here first...
Not quite, many are saying it! Its possible as the previous cars become too expensive for many. I certainly dont think they are going to fall any further.I cant see them rising much though, but we shall see!
Only thing is there is quite a lot of dogs on the 996 market which I think will struggle, ankoring the decent ones to them a bit.

This is how 911 prices move, isn't it? Thinking of the 964 as the last once-unpopular 911: The price falls and you get some that aren't maintained properly, these become heaps whilst others remain well looked after. If interest in the model grows it's up to the seller to search out the appreciating good ones from the rubbish.I do think that at the current prices a nice well maintained 996 c2/c4s at the right money is fantastic value, and it would be a great car to be able to do as many miles as you like, in whatever weather it is, leave it out in the rain, park it in the car park shopping without worrying about getting a slight scratch, eat a sandwich in with a coffee going along the motorway and sod the crumbs.
Exactly the opposite of what my 997 Gt3 is now, to expensive to trash.
Though it is bloody fun when i do drive it, i'd most likely derive more overall enjoyment from one I drove all the time????

I think canny owners are holding on to them, recognising them as an appreciating asset. Especially the early ones with orange indicators. They will be acknowledged as "first of the water-cooled". t's a real shame they have fallen into the hands of speculators rather than enthusiasts that will use them as they were intended.

Mine is my only car so will be getting used as intended! Obviously I'll be looking after it and it won't ask for anything as per my previous cars.pp
It is a shame if people start garaging them away but as with everything at the moment going up in value it is to be expected...

This whole thread was meant to be a fun poke at all the other threads on this forum where people are talking up the value of their cars
