OPC Fixed Price Servicing
Discussion
Hi
Has anyone managed to get these prices for fixed price? http://www.porsche.com/uk/accessoriesandservice/po...
It implies its optional for a dealer to opt in.
Ive had a quote from Guildford OPC for my 987 Boxster Spyder of £480 for minor service and £150 for brake fluid change - at £630 this is quite a lot more than the FPS of £470 for the same work.
Thanks
Simon

Not fixed price but emailed 3 OPC dealerships regarding my service and warranty extension on my GT3 and only one bothered to answer.
Shame given 2 recommended on PH Reading and West Sussex who didn't answer.
I know some will say should phone but not easy given work load easy to send at night.

Off topic OP but is your Spyder black or white. I live not to far from Guildford and have seen a white and black one driving around on more than one occasion around leatherhead and the a246.
I am taking mine for an interim service at nine excellence in horley once I put it back on the road next month. Amazing outfit there with genuinely nice people. Guildford opc just seems to have clueless robots working there. I would go to west byfleet opc if you want to keep the stamp.

Hi
Thanks, I'll give the West Byfleet a shout, I used them for my old 993 years ago and were very good, they I think were a specialist based Guildford/Dorking way who went into the Porsche OPC world.
I have used Guildford and Reading before, Guildford have been acceptable though nothing special, Reading I found to be very poor on customer service and when it was washed it took me quite a lot of effort to get rid of the swirl marks they'd left!!
Jayxx - mine is black, the Surrey Hills is probably as far in that direction I've taken mine for sometime.

Received this offer from local OPC but a second mail clarified it was model dependant.

Anyone got current 993 serving costs? I wonder why they pulled them from the site? Too old? Too complicated?
Both and the fact that a fixed price service is meaningless on a 993, the servicing is not the expensive bit, it's the repair/maintenance. I had a major done at an indy shortly after I bought the car, was £420. Then had a minor done at same place, nothing else needed doing, cost me £135. Next year I had a major and plugs and with extra work required it cost me nearly £2,200 again from the same indy. In between it went on for other bits and pieces as well.I did this with OPC Edinburgh last year - a major on my 996 Turbo, from the fixed price menu at £725. It was same give or take as indies quote. And, I got a shot in a 981 Boxster, a litre of Mobil 1, a mug and a few copies of Christo. As well as a mooch around the showroom, studiously ignoring the p1key-browed orange new money types signing up for their white Cayennes.
A nice experience all round. They wouldn't let me have the 10% PCGB discount though, as it was already a 'special offer'. (Just as well, I haven't been a member since 2003..)

The OPC servicing costs seemed to have changed a lot since my last major service in 2014. Last time it was £725 for a major which included spark plugs. Today and 5k miles later I have been quoted £625 for the major service but an additional £667 for the spark plugs, with brake fluid it's the best part of £1400 for a service. Almost double what I paid four years ago. The service staff were typically vague and not sure about what they were saying. Does anyone know if the service regime has changed and what the requirement are for spark plus? I don't want to change them for the sake of it but I also don't want to mess the perfect service history up.
