Never ever underestimate corporate greed and the lengths they will go to in deviousness to inflate the corporate balance sheet !
Renault did something similar in the 90s with the limited Williams Renault ended up with a series 2 and 3 which upset a few early punters of the first one!footsoldier said:

There were two 991R's (one silver and one white) in Cardiff OPC's showroom a couple of weeks ago, this might turn out to be another Porsche numbers underestimation marketing/overhype a la GT4 exercise![rolleyes](/inc/images/rolleyes.gif)
Except they are individually numbered/991![rolleyes](/inc/images/rolleyes.gif)

It looks like an average of 2 each, with a few getting 1 and the odd ones getting 3.
I think there will be 75 in total in the U.K.
I was at the Porsche Experience at Silverstone today and the guy there said he had heard 60 originally and then the UK got a few more allocations. So I'm guessing around 65. I think there will be 75 in total in the U.K.
The car was bloody brilliant. Every bit as good as the hype. Role on next Friday.

easy to sell several cars with the smae number plaque... ![wink](/inc/images/wink.gif)
And you really think Porsche would risk that in this day and age of social media?![wink](/inc/images/wink.gif)
There would be serious egg on face.
It would be hell to pay if for example 2 918 owners found they are the same number plaque on their R and I can't imagine they would consider the risk worth it.
I didn't even think it was a serious comment.
There are cars being photographed and advertised as number x/991. 918 owners were allocated the matching number where possible. How long would it take for someone to spot a duplicate? No chance it's going to happen.
Also, Porsche might have a different problem with their allocation policy, but I can't think of any time when they've put a specific number on a production car and then reneged on it. Nothing like F40s, 675LTs etc.
