thrashin' my new c4s - quirk...
Discussion
can anyone explain the following... i recently boughts a 996 c4s. when i acclerate HARD from a standstill, the clutch seems to develop a life of its own and move in and out as if to control the bite.... is this what is happening, or is it something that is going to require mega bucks being spent to sort out?

I was thinking of buying a tvr when and if i sell my 964. but it was the "TADTS" and monioring the topic the tvr forum that put me of. Safer with a porsche.
TVR's are not that bad you know! Get a well looked after one, and it won't break the bank.....budget £3K per year for servicing and repairs. Out of interest how does that compare to your 964 for running costs?
Go for a 5 litre (not that I'm biased) chim or griff, they are great fun, plus convo too. They are not as well built as a Porsche, nor do they handle as well, but have lots of character (not saying Porkers do not have any, they do, but in a different way), and go like the clappers and make a great noise. If you want warp speed go for a Cerbera or Tuscan, though they can suffer from a few more niggles than the Rover V8 engined cars. For performance per pound spent, IMO there is nothing to touch a TVR. Have you driven one yet?
But at the end of the day....its horses for courses
