Chaps,

What the point of view on older 911's?

I'm thinking non spoilered, classic shape 911 maybe with the old style fuchs wheels.

The pre 73/74 stuff with the delicate bumpers seem to be pricey. The first safety bumpered 911's seem remarkably cheap.

Our Henry F has a nice one:

And there is also this one:

They seem good value, and surely not likely to lose much money. Insurance is cheap too. I love the stainless steel roll bar and the delicate door mirrors.

For a car to keep for weekends, which makes the right noises and demands to be driven properly, they are very appealing.

I confess to ignorance over 911's from this period.

Whats the story with this era of 911?

I like the SC and 3.2 's as well, but so many of them are sports with the spoiler and I just don't like them.

I would be happy with SC or 3.2, but it would have to be a non sport.

I've owned 993 and 996, but I fancy a nice raw weekender for not a lot of money.

I've had enough of finance and I am putting my money into paying down the mortgage, investing for retirement, etc etc

So its cash only depreciation proof Porkers for me from now on !

The mid 70's stuff seems so cheap - and I was wondering why?
