I've just bought a 2nd-hand 993 convertible and it only came with a single fob for the immobiliser (a standard Porsche one). I called Porsche for a replacement and they tell me that they've stopped maing them and the only solution they can offer is either to take the immobiliser out or to upgrade to their latest model (at vast expense of course). Anyone know of any alternative solutions, i.e. someone who can maybe replicate the fob that I already have???

Any help appreciated!

Thanks

Thanks, Guys.
When I asked Porsche, I think the PA1000 was the one I'd have had to upgrade me to. He thought I probably had the PA300 (maybe???) - it's a black fob with a single button on it that you have to press after switching on the ignition.
I'll try Type911 or Sextons anyway.

Well so much for a quality service at your UK dealer. Local Porsche dealer in the S.E. quoted me about £1200 for an alarm upgrade for the reasons I gave at the start. Since then, no luck anywhere until I moved out to Spain. My friendly Porsche franchise in Puerto Banus supplied a new fob for 65 Euros. Thanks for giving me yet another reason to stay out here!!!!
