Apologies if this is a re-post: http://www.autoblog.com/2014/11/26/ferrari-458-spe...
Thanks - this is already in the 991 GT3 thread, but your post will be useful for those that avoid that particular thread!jackal said:
As a pure trackday car the rules change of course as you never quite seem to have enough power on track but then can the S actually make it onto any UK circuits, noisy days or otherwise ?
I think he mentions towards the end of the video that it is too noisy to take on track. That being the case, one does wonder what the benefits of ownership of a car like this really is. You clearly can't, to use your phrase, 'wring its neck' on the roads, and if you can't take it on track what does that leave? I guess there are a few European circuits you could take it to, but that can get pricey in terms of time and cost.RSVP911 said:

Very true....and whilst I love the 458........if grip, noise, practicality, usability, 'exclusivity' (by lower numbers), subtlety and the obvious affordability are high on your list then the GT3 is way way more 'desirable'.
More chance it will fit the garage too......
Excellent point re garage squeezability - I can get my GT3 into my garage - 458 , too lardy - ergo the GT3 is a better car - end of ....... More chance it will fit the garage too......

Not buying because of it would massively limit your options (not just Ferrari) as there are a whole bunch of 'too wide for UK single garages' type (brilliant) cars out there... For a moment of inconvenience you'll have all bases covered...
