Despite handing over my deposit in October 2013 at the OPC Wales and being told regularly that I was number one, I have today been informed that I am fifth on the list and will therefore not be receiving my promised car.

Cant help but feel a little cheated to say the least.

Looking now to purchase a build slot from anyone looking to sell at a premium.

Just leaving for Geneva (thank you Bentley).

Intending to ensure the Porsche representatives are aware of my discontent.

My OPC will be top of the list of discussions.

When people say they paid a deposit 20 months ago, what amount are they talking about?

The typical £1000 fully refundable type or the £10,000 order type?
£10,000 it is..
They had £10,000 from me too. Now refunded but I refuse to cash the cheque. More fight in me yet.

To quote a much earlier poster, I too spent many hours in the OPC Cardiff, drinking coffee and also demanded a red carpet for my new cars. Unfortunately, my 25 year history of new cars, servicing and coffee drinking did not equate to my promised car.

It would appear you totally misinterpreted the gist of my post. Perhaps your 'demands' have cost you in this instance. Cardiff are a superb OPC.
I take your point, I was never born with a silver spoon. I foolishly expect a certain standard of service when spending in excess of 130k.

Maranello puts Cardiff OPC to shame.

We are going back to the days when Porsche had 4 or 5 owners on a car within it's first year.

I'm old enough to remember these days whilst some of the OPC dealers are not.

Porsche returned to the enthusiasts for a short time, but now they've gone back to the 80's.
