Just bought my first Porsche... Some small advice needed
Discussion
Woo.. i picked up my 1986 944 LUX yesterday, what a car.. so so pleased with it.. absolutely immaculate.. cant stop smiling.. i'm only 23, never thought i'd have one by now.
Just after a little advice on a couple of things:
1. whats a 'usual' price for servicing? excluding expensive things, steering racks, CAM's.. you know, oil changes, brake pads..
2. Whats the best induction to put on, just a simple K&N cone, or something more, i'd like a slightly louder, although cultured rumble..
3. I can hear a slight noise, a bit like the gears on overrun from the trans-axle.. it sounds fine and changes with revs, i'm assuming this is normal as there is nothing between you and the boot..
4. Is the clutch an engine out job? Mine feels a tad high, but I think this is a trait of hydraulic clutches, any comments welcome.
Roll on days of enjoyment.. What a car..
