hi - please help, I sold my C2S (997) a couple months back, and am about to spec my C4S (997) - thoughts on performance kit or not - I say not, my bro says 'yes please'

thanks guys - inc the power kit, the list is going to be around £83k ish, which is a touch high, but as my bro keeps telling me, it will be quicker than a 996 turbo, in real terms.

my c2s was 70k and i sold it for 67.5k with 7k miles. however, we will be keeping the c4s for quite a while me thinks.

i have heard of people changing every 12 months without losing any cash - surely not possible...

i am going to be boring and go for black / black for c4s - but open to 'experienced' suggestions

What a great dilemma..

"please help me spend £83k on a car...and tell me if black is the right colour choice...."

My advice would be to think about what YOU want and go buy it.

Def after a PORKA, having owned the C2s for 6 months, still regret selling it, still the 535d is 'ok' ;-)

Have you got the torque figures?

Resh. If you have no trade in, have you considered getting an order in for a 997TT (with X50 power upgrade of course!) and in the meantime buying a used comfort spec GT3 Mk 2. Seems to be a fair few low mileage examples in the early £50k area.

the 997 TT is rumoured to be more than £110k base !!! ouch !! out of my budget.

we have our name down for the TUrbo too - but the price tag is very scarey.........

also do you not think that the new 997 face has put a few years on the 996 - albeit the 996 was the dogs whatsits

why wouldnt you buy it ? something else perhaps ?

i will be only using it at weekends - whereas the C2S i used for work, which was impractical.

always wanted a Por - had deposit down for c4s couple of years ago, then dealer, sutton coldfield, called me last april to spec car, told me new c2s in october, so adv me to wait out so i did. then he called me when c4s was announced so i sold the c2s, to hold out for c4s - from what you are all saying i must be on CRACK to have sold the C2S -
