Hi to everyone

I'm in desperate need of help from someone in 'the know'. Last night my car (1989 Porsche 944) was attacked with what I think is paint stripper! It's been liberally poured over the bonnet, roof & sides of the car meaning that my baltic blue paintjob is now completely destroyed! Thanks to the b******'s for the early Xmas present, not the nicest way to wake up in the morning. In addition, they also helpfully arranged to dent the rear mud-guard panel - not serious I think this can be popped out.

I'm not sure if there are any members in Ireland, but can anyone recommend a good body/spray shop (preferably close to the Lucan area near Dublin ) who can pick the car up and get the body sorted out as quickly as possible? I'm certainly no expert on these matters, so if anyone could give me a ballpark figure as to what the cost of a good respray would be it would be greatly appreciated. I can be contacted on my mobile at any time (+353 87 644 3425), and any help would be greatly appreciated.

I dont understand the mentality of some people guys, I mean the car certainly wasnt pristine, and they've obviously gone out of there way to damage it
- where's the sense in it all?

Oh well - I've said my bit now, if anyone at all out there can help me, please dont hesitate to call/text - all calls will be answered, hope all fellow car enthusiasts have
a better Xmas than me, and I hope to hear from some of you soon.

With Best Regards

I really dont know - the neighbours are fantastic in our estate, the car has been been there for over a year now, and I'm pretty sure that I havent made any enemies here (I've lived here for 5 years!). In the cold light of day I'm glad I didnt catch them, but at the time...

The thing is my car really isnt 'that great' compared to some of the '05 BMW's, MB's etc I see drinving arounbd town (and left on roads overnight) - the car is 15 years old and, apart from being obviously well looked after, wasnt concourse standard or anything like (that was & stll is my goal however).

So now it looks like my trip home (I'm an aussie) next year will be put on hold while I get the paintwork sorted out,

I'll end now by saying thanks to the members who've responded - all greatly appreciated, hope your Xmas & New Year and all bloody good ones!

Cheers
