Wife up the duff. Hurrah and all that but might have sunk my own 996TT plans. Has anyone lived with a new nipper and a 911 as the only car? Is it possible and is 2wd the only way to fit a buggy thing in the front boot (Porsche say their one will only fit in 2wd cars). Is child seat in the front the only way when they are small and then seat in the back when older? Know Porsches, know next to nothing about babies!

Do I cross off 9964S and 996TT leaving only 997C2S as possibility?

thanks

Thanks for all the best wishes. I've never really understood this whole "we're nipping down the road with the nipper, can you hire a Bedford van" thing re. baby luggage. Obviously I must be being naive but...

from meno-porsche
the pushchair, the car seat, pram - buy one of those things that does all 3 in one
nappy bags, changing mat - nappies come small now and you need what 5 of them = small rucksack
toys, special foods - I can fit a rattle and a can of pedigree chum (or whatever) in my pocket

the general comments don't sound good though - we have a new 4 door Polo now which I assumed would be OK for weekend trips, but I can't imagine being going many places w/o the nipper in tow for the first year or so, so a 911 won't even work as a weekend car

but in my experience (we've got 10 month twins) forget the weekend hoons, you're just too sleep deprived and bloody busy. Sadly I'm only really using mine at present for the commute to work.

and I tube to work for my sins - so that is zero time to enjoy

thinking get one now and enjoy it for 6 summer months or wait 2 years till he/she is house-trained and can fit in the back
