So you want a 997, sir?

Well, I'd like a, a, erm, a silver one. I think...
I'm all for customer choice and I can see the value of modular manufacturing (the shared engines in the Cayman and Boxster make sense from a production perspective though perhaps not a marketing one) but surely this is just Porsche pandering to just about every buyer it can possibly think of?

I'm with the Herb Ferret, sorry Spice Weasel.
In white for me, with white wheels a la the show car at Goodwood.

How good did that white GT3 look? Amazing and far more aggressive-looking than the Cobalt Turbo next to it, I thought. Then I saw Lord March's black turbo. Now that looked good! Think the 997's are more colour-sensitive than ever. Cobalt is a great colour but seems classy rather than aggressive

Some obvious holes that need filling in that line up; where's the carrera 2/S targa ? or the turbo cab ?
The 997 Targa seems to be available in 4 wheel drive form only. The GT2 and the Turbo cabrio have yet to be formally announced. The list (I think) reflects what you can actually buy now.
