We won our class ! We had a 2004 997 Carrera "S" with a TTP twin turbo kit fitted and we beat a 997 Twin Turbo to class honours. We had around 450 BHP & 450 Lb-ft but only 2wd and almost zero understeer.

Our car was on normal Michelin Sports and the Evo magazine car was on Michelin Cups. Evo entered the Porsche GB press car with Jethro Bovingdon & Richard Meaden as drivers.

We ran as few laps as was required to stay in front, if they got to within 3/4 second a lap we went out again and just went a little quicker.

Car was running BP102 and only 0.65 Bar boost.

Cheers

The class was for Sports Coupe's i.e 911 / Cayman / Tt / Monaro / AM V8 etc. The entry list is at www.tunergp.co.uk/news.htm

However only the two Porsches ended up fighting it out. There were Monaros there but they never ran. The entry list was "confirmed" but a lot were "no shows"

Henry times were not spectacular, we only went as fast as was needed to stay in front. We were on 19" Michelin Sports not Cups.

Our best was a 1m 18.23 secs. Using only 0.65 Bar boost

It was an ex OPC demo car bought at 10,000km. Having done 10 x "Customer driving days" at local German tracks. It still has the original front tyres on it at 18,000 km and the 2nd or 3rd set of rears. It has 2nd generation PCCB brakes some really bling 19" German wheels that flex !!! KW suspension, geometry set for fast road and thats it.

Ed did most of the laps with the air-con switched on as well as traction control still engaged.

The car is exactly as per TTP web site and as tested by German press.3,8l Twinturbo conversion stage I
Power: 331 KW (450 HP)
Torque: 620 Nm
Details: 2 Turbochargers K24
Turbo exhaust system
Sport catalytic converters
Turboairbox with sport airfilter
Waterintercooler
ECU

We will be amending the clutch for a stronger unit, adding a larger oil cooler and a few other small items. This will make it cEuro 26,000 fitted plus local taxes.

Cheers
