I've managed to (stupidly) crap the paint on the nose of my 996 too.
Can you let me know how your repair has held up over the long term?
If it's still good, then I'll give chips-away a go too. Otherwise the local body shop is talking about new bumpers and big money... They tell me that the cracks can re-appear after a simple respray with this type of problem.

Excellent, thanks for that & extra advise.
95% is good enough for me - compared to the cost savings. Not to mention the chance of me or the girlfriend donkeying it up again ....
