selling boxster s in winter...or should i wait till spring?
Discussion
there is a boxster S in the garage rarely driven in my household. its 2005 model.986 style.13k on the clock in immaculate condition
Should i sell it now..or just let it stay there and wait till SPring..would it fetch more money..even if it will be 4 months older?
also, should the car be driven ..is it bad for the car not to be driven at all for long periods of time?
i posted before about this car but as yet..havent decided what to do with it

well in auto trader i seen the cars for sale..and been reading top marques for past 2 momths..and i think i could sell the car for about 29k or maybe 28k
but i was thinking who the hell is going to buy this car in the winter..with xmas approaching?
surely more people are likely to want this kind of car in the spring .in time for the summer..and just wanted to know if the porsche boxster market happens this way where more cars are getting bought and sold in spring as opposed to winter? i know with saabs..that the value of the cabriolet falls a bit during winter..and was wondering if same on porsches
and people in here told me that 28k is too much for a 986 yet i seen loads for sale even at 30k
just wondering though if people actuall BUY at this time

thanks for the info Henry
its just that the car was bought only a year and a half ago at 36k from AFN Porsche in solihull..just 10,000 miles has been put on it..and i am amazed that it would sell at 25k..11k depreciation in a year?
surely cant be right? i think i will put it on auto trader or top marques for 28k and see what comes up
its got all the options on it except sat nav

adam B ..lucky for me i didnt buy it..just have the job of selling it...
i knew it was a mistake buying a 986 model but at the time the 987 model ..you couldnt buy at the dealers
so its a 2005 model 986 ..one of the last ones built with 13,000 miles..black with all options..i think i can sell it for 27k.
thanks ettore for that
