911 3.2: getting one
Discussion
I have decided to go back to some basics after a year enjoying the luxury of a 996 C2. Too many points, a bit of boredom and a need for change.
After a bit of a look decided on a '86 911 3.2. Drives well,is sorted and looks well, and will be a very different porsche owning experience. I should get to pick it up in a couple of weeks time.
When I fist moved across to Porsche i was looking for a bit of a classic. Alot of you gave me lots of good advice which i put on hold whilst playing with the 996, so slowly getting there.
Any other owners around?

I am enjoying the fun of it already, just spent another hour reading the owner sites; some excellent resources around which make the owning of it even better. It would seem to be the bridge between classic and moeern Porsches, and was another one of the reasons of wanting to own one. It also totally confuses the wife, and a lot of my "non-understanding" mates.
I know that i'll miss that GT thing of the 996 but when i am need of of a fix, i'll hire one i think.
Mind you, one upgrade I am thinking of is a Steering Wheel, and if poss. (as its the pre-G50 box) to see if i can get to a short shift..might be tricky, unless anyone knows different....
