I'm hoping to get rid of my boring company car and buy a 94/95 993. I know too little to buy privately and can't afford to buy from Porsche. Any advice on specialist outlets I should take a look at (RSJ sportscars and Autofarm are two I've heard of?)

Do you absolutely want buy from the UK ?

I've never bought out of the UK before so I'm somewhat nervous of what would be involved.

Looks very, very nice but my budget of £25,000 is not going to cut the chase I would expect (maybe in a few years)

Cheapest 993 I've seen on www.mobile.de is for 18k, but it was a tippytronic and in white - not my thing really.

RSJ look like the experts, but not had a dealing with them. Henry at www.911virgin.com has a couple in at the moment - I like the silver C2 for 23k. Autofarm are very good, but a bit pricier.

Im in two minds about importing one of these. I've imported a couple of left hookers before and it costs you at least a grand or two more to do. In my mind, LHD prices are the same or only a grand higher over here, after some poor sap has dealt with importation.

I reckon RSJ sticker the cars up by 4k. If importing would cost you (as a punter) say 2k at worst, then you will only save 2k doing it yourself - less if you nudge them down on price a little. I think 22-23k is fair for an early LHD C2 with highish miles.

All in all, buying from RSJ would probably cost you a grand more. Believe me, finding, buying, arranging money and car collection, then registering etc. is more than a grand's worth of hassle.

Have you had any dealings yourself with 911virgin, I've seen there site (the silver C2 does look good)? Any advice re. where to buy insurance and warranty?

Thanks for help domster, I'll let you know how I get on.

If anyone has dealt with RSJ I'd be interested to hear.
