BTW, my 928 is going in to the shop to have the 5-speed transaxle rebuilt. I'll photograph the build and post it on the net for general information.

I'll keep good records, and the shop has already agreed to allow me to take photos. The head mechanic, who I trust very much, said he hoped he didn't end up with more parts on the workbench than he started with, jokingly.
The car runs like a bear and sounds positively superb, but I have to replace that bearing before it "explodes" and causes other problems. Should be interesting to see a 928 transaxle laid open, eh? I'll keep you posted.
