Cayman S - Tuning advice
Discussion
Hi,
I have a 2006 Cayman S, i bought it with the standard non-pasm suspension. Running on 18's.
Rather than buying a new car I'm thinking of doing a few little mods on my car instead and was looking for a bit of advice.
I pretty much just do road driving. The car generally only gets occassional use and the odd 2-3k mile driving holiday. So no track weapon is required.
I'm not looking a spending a fortune, but 3-4k possibly.
This is what i'm thinking of;
Sports exhaust - Full miltek system has caught my eye.
Re map - Worried about differing from standard porsche ecu. Good places to get work done?
Suspension - New springs to lower car, but don't want impractical low and to ruin ride. (Not sure what springs(which company) would be good to lower and retain some ride comfort)
19's - Was going to put on 19's new carrera style, love how they look. With lowering don't want to wreck ride further. Step too far?
It would be good to here your views and any recommendations....... and no 'buy a carrera instead' please, (although tempted) :-)
Thanks

MrDemon, your Cayman looks great.
Those tuning BBQs would certainly interest me that i've read on the other forums to see what the tuned cars are like.
However I live in Jersey, Channel Islands, so bringing myself and car over is an expensive process.
The work on the air intakes is interesting and seems fairly simple.
Anyone had a quife diff fitted?
Does any of these remaps have any adverse affects on the cars long term?
Anyone with these mods live around london? Over for two days next week in London, free during the day only though.
Heres mine;
