Boxster S tuning?

Hi,
Justr wondering whats the best path to make the Boxster S a little quicker? Obviously there is chipping and filters all the usual stuff but i dont want to spend thousands or have a car i cant revert to standard or sell!
Anyone done this or knwo the benefits/pitfalls, I mainly want a bit more throttle responce and lower/mid end pull. Dont want much do I!!!
