Can anyone tell me what recommended specialist insurance companies are out there for Porsches?

Any help would be great.

Thanks DAZ, I've heard plenty good stuff bout them but not sure they may insure what I'm looking at, worth a try though.

The car is a ROOCK. Tried Peart which knew about these cars, so promising, but couldn't insure it as it was too powerful!!

Has anyone insured a ROOCK or GEMBALLA or similar before and where??

Sagaris is still on the cards if the final spec is as promised/my cup of tea

This is something that's come up and a change for a bit.

Just spoke to LV who said unless the car was a 996 Carrera 4 then they can't help me. I said the car is based on the GT3 model but the lady said they don't have a GT3 on their list so can't insure it...Oh well, worth a try though.

Cheers for all your help boys.

I've left a message for Roock USA to call me back, cheers Plotloss. I didn't try them before as there's no distribution in the UK and when I spoke to Mr. Roock the other day in Germany he didn't know of any.

Chris, nice one fella, even though A-plan couldn't help me, they've given me two people to contact who may be able to help out.

I've mangaged to get a company to insure the car but only once it's in the country and registered with the DVLA and given UK plates.

Does anyone know how to get a car insured once purchased and brought over before given UK plates?

Anyone imported a vehicle before and been in this situation?

Thanks DAZ, I'll try that, someone else has just told me that too.

How about if it's transported over? Insurance should be covered by the transportation company whilst in transit, then straight to DVLA to get registered.
