You won't stop grinning when you put them on.

Try this when you have them, change up at 5000 and allow .25 second overrun, Fantastic noise. Also from 2800-2200 it pops and farts all over the show. You might find the car doesn't idle quite correctly when you first start it up.

Why doesn't it idle correctly?

PS. I will have some video footage when I get them!

I've bought them now but until I receive them, does anyone have any sound files of them?

I have Andy's pipes on mp3 and mpg but no one elses...

Please indulge me!

I should do another video/soundclip really (any excuse! ). The one I did originally was just after a rebuild (ergh, that word again!) and the car was being run in and only taken up to 3500rpm.

I'll have another go one evening this week and get a few clips of them howling away on the overrun at around 5500rpm (trust me ... it's a gorgeous sound!!). But by then I guess you'll already know..

Have fun!

I've had the Carbon Can company's product in my spare room for 3 weeks now - just need the new car to arrive so I can bolt them on!

There is one here 6MB

Turn your volume up to hear the pops & bangs on the over-run.

Has anyone compared the sound from these cans to the HHC ones? Is there much difference?

Are we going to think about sending a VHS round in the post then ? - The mpeg files are all very well but take hours to download (on rural BT lines!) and the quality is crup!

Any thoughts - it could be a chain video or something!

Assuming you only want a sound file, I did mine as follows, (although there may well be an easier way???)

Capture sound and video from camcorder on PC.

Replay captured clip and record sound on windows sound recorder.

Convert file from .wav to MP3 format.

The results were pretty good IMHO, considering I never got the engine above 4000rpm whilst recording. You should hear it on full song!!!

Surely for anyone wondering what straight through cans might sound like, or who want to try them before they buy, just remove the originals and have no rear cans.

Probably not a long term solutuion but for a quick test run why not.

What's a V8 tuscan ? Thought they were 6 cylinder 3.6 or 4l ?
