Turns out I've got the slightly "rarer" ME0427 from the very early tuscans....

I too have a faulty early-model door ECU (ME0427). Out of interest, does anyone know if the later model (ME0480) is backwards-compatible with early Mk1s? The only difference mentioned on the TVR Parts site is that the later model gives a slightly greater window drop, which would suggest that the only change was a reprogramming of the EPROM.
I'll have a go at repairing the original ECU myself, but am wondering whether it would be possible to replace it in the short-term with an ME0480 ECU. If I succeed in fixing the original I could then keep the newer one as a spare or just sell it on.
