Rear Indicators Arduino Project - sweeping indicator
Discussion
Both fully fitted now - I've put in a switch to choose modes:
1. Standard indicator - it flashes on and off just like the old one did. (I know there are some countries that haven't approved sweeping indicators yet)
2. Sweeping indicator that immediately goes off when cancelled.
3. Sweeping indicator that fades to mid when cancelled.
4. Sweeping indicator that fades to side when cancelled.
Once the new relay arrives will be sorted - fine to drive at the moment but the fronts go twice as fast.

If you use the relay to prevent the high flash rate of the front bulbs, I think the really will likely be over loaded if you go back to the standard flash pattern. 1. Relay fitted - seems to work perfectly. Thanks Tuscanier - I owe you a drink if/when our TVR paths cross!
The way it is wired, none of the electricity for the rear indicators is drawn from the relay in any mode - it is just used to activate transistor - so shouldn't be an issue as far as I can see. I guess I'll see how it goes!
Will try to do a video of them tomorrow.

Look forward to the vid. Got my Arduino @ the weekend, had a little play and wrote some code, I will be controlling the inner 42 LED as my indicator from 10 I/O pins in an Audi style sweep all works well on the breadboard, not sure when I will make the time to hook it all up in the car "you work very fast" Im very The way it is wired, none of the electricity for the rear indicators is drawn from the relay in any mode - it is just used to activate transistor - so shouldn't be an issue as far as I can see. The outer 58 are my brake lights!
after 5 minutes of playing the mind wonders. Now thinking off full array of 100 RGB LED's that could run as all on full red when only brake is applied, all on full amber when only indicator is applied and inner ring amber (Audi scroll) / outer ring red while brake and indicator are both active. test parts ordered from china so only a month to wait!
I know my way around a soldering iron, but since working a job where a lobotomy is needed, the gray matter struggles to get going
Im sure as you say there must be some Arduino / programming Geniuses amongst us, I welcome them to share there thoughts.
