I might be on my own here, but I've never liked the look of the 911 - even in it's latest "been out in the sun and melted a bit" incarnation. The interior is bland and the exterior proportions are not really right in my eyes. I thought the 968 was the best looking car they made. Agree that the flat 6 sounds good, but then you can make a Nova sound good with the right amount of Demon Tweaks bits... Ferrari might have made some serious duffers (308 GT4), but generally, the small Ferrari 3xx looks the dog's danglies IMHO.

Just MHO, but the Porsche 968 was the least likeable car I drove at a Supercar day I went to, and this was reflected in my "scores". Anodyne, soulless, clinical. Maserati Biturbo was much better car to drive, but none of the cars (not even Lambo) grabbed me by the balls like a good TVR does.

I've never been a porsche fan. Also, a friend of mine wanted to get an old 911....until I let him read evo and AutoCar articles on the Tuscan. His comments were along the lines of '.....brilliant interior, makes the porsche look drab. Looks better from the outside too.' I think he may be saving for a Tuscan instead. Another one converted!
