Good luck with what seems to be the best choice for you....nevertheless I expect we may see you in the TVR camp in a couple of years!!!

Keep safe.

Good luck

The key here is that you have clearly weighed up all the pros/cons of TVR ownership and at this point in time its not for you (so long as your happy)...but after driving the Porsche...I agree with philipleslie67 we may see you in the future so I don't think TVR has lost your custom...just yet

Have fun and wave if you see a wacky coloured Tuscan S fly past you....

Alan.

Toppstuff,

I don't think you're totally convinced, so I'd agree with a few of the others on here and suggest that we may well see you in the TVR owners fold in the future!

As an aside, I understand where you're coming from about the electronic aids, but the most sure-fire way to prevent an accident is to drive within the limits of the car, you and the conditions.

Have you considered taking any additional driver training e.g, Ride Drive, IAM, RoSPA? In my opinion, these will improve your driving, and reduce the likelihood of you being involved in an accident.

Even if you do have ABS and traction control, this training will almost certainly benefit you, and may give you the confidence to join this merry band of Tuscan owners!

Why did you choose the Carrera 4 , and not the
Carrera 2 ?

I went for the C4 cos is was there and the price was right.

The 4wd was not the issue ( a C2 with PSM is pretty planted on the road anyhow ).

But would you believe it ? I was filling up my wifes Mini One this morning and a black tuscan with black wheels was just a few feet away ( Esso in Bath on the A4 anyone?) !

It looked gorgeous - very mad max..

I reckon the predictions that I may come to the fold anyhow are not far from the truth..

I'll get the C4 out of my system and take a look again..

I may be talking crap but why not put traction control and ABS on a Tuscan?
Traction control can definitly be fitted there is a kit avaliable.
Most of the brake components are ford with the exeption of the front calipers so why not adapt them or replace with ford calipers
just a thought.
There are plenty of talented people out there capable of doing the job.I am suprised it has not been done yet,i personally feel the car does not need them but each to there own. I sold my porker to buy a griff you will be back
good luck
