Picked up the car.....a few questions please
Discussion
Hi Guys and Girls
Picked up the Tuscan today , roof off weather perfect , however I have a couple of problems that I need answers to please ?
Car drives great as expected but when I turn the key I get : Diagnostic code 0
And when I have started the car I get a bleeping sound and : Warning EFI fault !
Any thoughts please as the handbook doesn't elaborate ?
And also first Gear seems to be a lot stiffer to select from neutral than my S6 Cerbera was , is this normal ?
Your help will be most appreciated .
Regards
By the way I have found a whole section on the EFI code so it must be common !

You are not alone... Diagnostic code 'O' - no comms between analogue and control. I have the same thing showing on mine and, according to someone at TVR Power, is to do with the dash pod. I have all kinds of issues with my dash pod so makes sense, although I can't tell you what cos I don't know!
I also have the EFI warning showing, not entirely sure what's causing that but I can tell you it's been coming up for 18 months & it's still running fine! I assume it's some sensor somewhere that's not working quite right but I'm taking it to have it looked at soon, so I'll let you know the findings.
Paul Smith at PS electronics will more than likely be able to help you more, he knows everything about them electronic wise.

If you find anything out in the meantime, let me know!

He said the Mk1 Tuscan LCD systems are a bit of a pain which is why they did away with them on the Mk2
Doesn't seem to be anything to worry about and it seems to be far more common when it's been raining ?
As usual the temperamental TVR electrics and diagnostics provide endless fun !

I intend on removing my dash pod & sending it to Paul Smith for repair which he says would take around a week & cost around £100, which I think is reasonable if it cures it! However I use the car every day and can't bare to park it up while it gets done so I'm just waiting for something else to break and force me to lay it up for a bit!
