Hi all,

Since watching Swordfish quite some time ago I have had this burning desire to get my hands on a Tuscan.

Trouble is I've heard quite a few rumblings about problems on PH.

Are they sorted yet?
What should I be looking out for?
I've seen 2000 X-reg Tuscans available privately from around £25k. Is this a good price, or should I be suspicious?
Any other comments appreciated.

When the engine pops you could be in trouble without dealer backup (for organising the engine rebuild).

Might be better off buying one from a garage...will obviously be more expensive though!

Also, when the engines go bang, a full TVRSH is a must. The factory can sometimes look favourably on cars that have been maintained within the dealer network... which could mean they don't make you pay full whack for your rebuild.

WHEN the engine goes pop?

Huh ?!

I thought the engine was a proven and developed powerplant that was basically reliable?

Hi Plipton,

You need to search the databse on this Forum, the FAQ's etc etc

All the info you need is already here

Then if you need specifics, come back on this same thread with a question

Good luck - (don't worry about the engine pop concerns - they all do that Sir!)

you don't spend much time here do you? It's a great engine whilst it's going though.
