Been out for a quick drive today and I noticed my speedo needle is about 10 mph slower than the digital read out.

The digital is working bang on to the correct speed but the needle is running behind.

Any ideas

Thanks

Is the indicator arm zeroing when you turn on the ignition or is it starting below the 0mph mark?

If its resetting to zero then its possibly the speed sensor on the rear passenger wheel hub (gape between the cog teeth and the sensor has opened up and needs resetting ) or the sensor is on its way out or possibly noise in the system ( check your earth points).

If the arm sets under or over the Zero mph mark then the arm has slipped on its shaft ( just a small grub screw). There is a how too knocking about in pdf. Is an easy job really but you have to take the printed circuit board sandwich out of the dash pod. it comes out with speedo. Flip it over and you will see the worm gear, grub screw and zero switch. Did mine resently.
Thanks for the info, i will check where the needle is sitting. From memory it was at 0MPH
