I have a very late 56 plate Mk3 Tuscan S and these cars always seemed to be unicorns as there was so few made and very rarely coming up for sale, especially the S.

Even now I can only see one for sale but there doesn't seem to be much interest from dealers wanting to take them onto stock. Is that just because it is winter and they know they will be holding it on their books for the next three or four months before summer picks up?

I think mine is one of the better ones out there and looking to move it on. However, obviously not going to give it away, so would rather hold on until summer to sell it if there really is no market at the moment due to winter and Christmas.

Any thoughts?

Yes I live in Central London and mine is ULEZ compliant. I'm happy to move mine on as I have something new incoming but I guess it is just finding someone who wants one. I think they only made 18 Mk3 and 9 S models so I guess if you want one they come up so rarely it should be regardless of time of year etc, but dealers don't seem to want any inventory atm.

If you’d like to get it gone before spring, it might be an idea to put it on privately, for a brief period.
As you say, these are very rare so any serious Mk3 buyer will be looking regularly and often, year round.

If no interest after a short time, just take it down and wait for spring.
Yes I think this is what I'll do. Mine is Spectraflair silver which I think is much nicer than the one advertised, TVRs need to be in fun colours! I've also had full Str8Six maintenance since I've owned it about 13 years as well as the half time bearing upgrades etc etc so it is a very good example.

I'll advertise it out there and if someone is looking for one then great and if not I'll hold on to it. I always said I'll never sell it as you can't find another one if you wanted to, so if it adds to the collection I won't be upset in the least.

That's interesting, I hadn't thought of collecting cars are you really need 2 buyers willing to bid up 2 get a good price.

I also think with these cars, the Mk3 I have, if you know what they are and if you are looking for one you are probably checking piston heads, AutoTrader, eBay and dealers every week also anyway.

Collecting cars could be good for a normal Tuscan which people might impulsively buy at 20 or 25k, but I think with these nearer to 50k I'm not sure if that is the right platform, but I will look for your advert now and follow it with interest.
