Engine information please

I am currently a Chimaera driver seriously considering a Tuscan but concerned about engine reliability. I am told that the NON "S" version now comes with the Tamora lump not the Speed Six (3.6 litre)??. Is this a new engine that will need bedding down by understanding TVR drivers or is it basically the same unit that has always been in the Tuscan and by now should be "reliable" ??
