This picture was taken from a lifestyle ford dealership press release, announcing that it's confirmed..
Doesn't surprise me, they can't build ST's quick enough..
My mistake, just ran round Google looking for up to date PRs. Doesn't surprise me, they can't build ST's quick enough..
Needs to be substantially over 200bhp (let's say 225), will be FWD (and be hugely controversial on PH despite all similar cars being FWD).
Will have a wider track and (I hope) and LSD.

By the looks of it, the 230bhp fig. is confirmed too.. It may be one of the ugliest cars I've ever seen, but hopefully it'll make up for it when you show it a winding scottish mountain road! 4wd and 300 bhp please.
I don't see it, personally. Not unless they use a bigger engine rather than a retuned ST engine, that said I don't know what the actual specs are so they could be using a bigger engine. I think FWD and 240bhp is more likely when and if it eventually goes on sale.As for looks, well it's not a patch on the last Fiesta RS, which is about 25 or so years old now.
Just 15 more bhp than a Mountune ST? I understand that the engine is already at 10.5:1 compression and running quite aggressive boost, so maybe they have reworked the engine to provide more potential. Strange that all the references on Google seem to point back to the same Auto Express item.
What is a fact is that an ST3 is about to go live - no more power but lots of goodies are std. It will be £1k more than the ST2.
Also all ST prices are increasing by £250 at the same time so the cheapest will list at £17245, st2 at £18245 and st3 £19245.
My high level contact says no RS in the pipeline.

I haven't heard anything about this except OP's claim of a Ford Lifestyle PR.
Custard - or the PR equivalent - required.
