I think that it’s disgusting, how can someone even contemplate drink driving. Every time I do it, I end up spilling it all over the car and stinking of ale for the rest of the night!!!

Heres a news flash for the pen pushers supposedly running this hole of a country - more cameras and less patrols make for less detection of anything that doesnt involve boosting this banckrupt governments coffers. How much of a news flash is this?

If I am anything to go by the Brits are the worst at drink driving, I just can't get the hang of it. I was in the ditch every weekend until they stopped me. Make no mistake about it - no matter how much you practice it's effing difficult.

Anyone know of a Track Day for pissheads, some where where the Brits could become better at it, afterall it's not good to be the worst at anything is it?

when i lived in france i was involved in a non fault accident, bascially a motorbike t boned me at a junction on my right of way.

police came and as no one was hurt and as i was driving a fully comp hire car they wernt interested at all. the rider once he took his helmet off stank of alcohol, the police didnt want to be there, a van turned up with about 5 officers inside, only one came out, and all the time the other 4 were calling him back in wanting to be somewhere else.

the drunk pushed his bike home, i dropped off the hire car with a bent cill and shagged door.

This wasnt in the 60's, 70's or 80's this was 2005.

Was that drink driving RTA reported or in any statistic? was it fk. So whoever did this report, fk off!!

(just to add im not condoning the actions of the french police, i found it disgusting).

*Not that I ever condone driving while over the limit, but there's the answer.
Yep - went for my monthly curry and beer .... the late night bus to my Suffolk village no longer ran (not a warning to be seen) ..... so I drove.

That makes me a tt. A cab would have been a tenner.

I got stopped ... not much over the limit but 9 month ban (after course knocked 3 months off), £1000 fine and the fact I'm now running a T-plate Bravo (insurance through the roof) have banged the lesson home.

We don't need a lower limit or a longer penalty but 6% is way too high ... I'm with the police on this one if it's not just another revenue exercise.

Forgive me if I'm incorrect but a mate who lives near Marbella advises me the Spanish Police chose a different motor crime for each day of the week eg Tuesday..that must be checking documents day with no regard to other issues. Evidenced by fact said mate was legless in back of car and sober nominated driver was pulled over for document check.Driver did not have his licence with him.Only one who did was legless mate so Police made him drive the car away.Thankfully they got home before midnight as possibly Wednesday was DD day.
