I am lost PP, (and now that you have edited your previous post most other people will be too) BUT, I have done what? when?...you have had personal attacks and been warned off before? Why, what have you done? A@

Mmmm, was editing my post after seeing more of the funny side of things

Your above post no longer relates to what is now posted

You have misunderstood something in my earlier post before it was edited as I am clueless about most of your above comments due to them not relating to what I previously posted

It is not possible for me to reply to some of your earlier comments with freedom of type

My hands are semi tied here and I'm happy about the situation as it now is, will go as far as typing that it is important for me to be a good boy when posting here

Hence you are free to hand out as much personal nonesense as you wish to but you will not be receiving similar from me

I think even pulling the controllers and testing circuits is beyond most DIY PH'er
Is an insult to thousands of PH members to say the least

Most DIY PHers are capable of solving most electrical faults if given some information and help

You should be ashamed of yourself

Nothing personal...but the topic is not a electrical issue (IMHO of course) apart from previously mentioned, cleaning the connections to the solenoids ...understand that solenoids have masters and slaves, and that they come sprung and unsprung.
PS..PP, the link WITHIN the thread does not work ...AND 'I have plugged them in the wrong way round myself, seeing a small puff of smoke come out the box isn't fun' sums up the post.

What do you mean by the link WITHIN the thread does not work?

I've recently clicked the above link and it is working

I'm confused now

AND, the relevance of the subject matter within that with the post that then has a broken link in is... (PLEASE DO NOT ANSWER >>>READ ON) I will not continue on with this conversation after this post.

I am sorry, I assumed it was Penolope Pitstop....and I dropped that down to PP. BUT sadly, I have spent time looking through your forum history AND this is serious question...who actually are you? ...you see I had not done that unit now.
Again a serious Q. what model TVR do/did/have you own/ed?
You, in your now edited post claimed no one knew and that they should not need to know. That may as be the case from your point of view.
THIS IS NOT attacking YOU, picking on you, a personal attack and I have no need for answer to me/here, perhaps add it to your 'about me' so we can all see. What is scary, is that my 14 year old deaf boy reads these posts and as he stood over my shoulder telling me about being 'safe aware on-line' signing for me to block you (it is not like that son!) IMHO that is sort of important. BUT heyho you do what you need to do. A@ (TRY NOT ANSWER!)

What a weird direction this took.

Resetting the door box controllers box is a valid thing to do to reset the windows. It's not hard to pull a few plugs - just note where they go. A picture as above is always useful.

I've started labelling every plugs as I pull it with alignment arrows etc (not in above pic).

I've not found that with doors though. All my door opening issues have always been related to the connector plugs inside the door getting dirty connectors - although I have replaced one wing mirror button and one magnetic switch in the past.

I've not got the rubber condoms over the door mirror buttons either and never had issues with water ingress. The RS Component switches seem very rugged.

Good idea marking the plugs, when a PH Member named plug marks the plugs you know it makes sense
