vroom - excellent - your car was probably the cleanest one i've ever seen!

Yes although it was and still is a lovely Cerbera, the praise really should go to Nick's love of keeping his cars tip top. - that's Nick cleaning his Cerbera

The Rosso Corsa Pearl paint does make the car look fantastic though.

Keep the polish strong..

I can assure you that the above does not apply to my Vectra!

Well, it's bean like this for a week now .. and i'm loving it! Even took the other 'arf and son out for a drive yesterday! Ok, so it was a little 'droney' at the 38mph which people occasionally must drive at, but the explosions on the overrun more than make up for it - William, I know what you mean, now!

Anyway, did some videoing also, but due to the lack of video skills, I think i'll just record the sound!

Ok here goes, the files are only about 2-300K, but it's hosted at the end of a broadband connection, so 64 or 128K upload only!

Sounds very nice especially the slow/fast wav file. Hopefully have some of mine uploaded soon off a recent run out. (uploaded when a suitable nephew shows me how to do it!)

Futie,

Out of interest how do you find driveability at part throttle / constant speed since you de-catted?

Better / worse / no change?

Nick.

It appears to depend on the car. Most are fine, though some are so bad the easiest thing to do is put the cats back in, unless you have access to someone who can remap the ECU...

I've got to be honest; much as I would have liked the car to be faster/more responsive/less strangled, i've not noticed any change whatsoever with the performance or drivability .

Infact, the only noticeable difference seems to have been an increased idle speed - not sure how this has come about, but i'm sure it wasn't usually at 1100 rpm (indicated) before!

Oh, did I mention - it's much MUCH louder !!

It is a bit hesitant @ part throttle but all checks out ok.

Gonna try & put the cats on @ weekend to see if it helps.

MoT soon in any case.

...and your point is?

Your Cerbie (is it still yours?) is almost whisper quiet compared to that Blue Griff I had. No cats, short rear silencer and 5.2l's
