Will you be at the Kimbolton show with it?
HiI will be at Kimbolton, but not with the red Cerbera, but with the rest of my collection, and if things work out two or three extra cars than last year! Stand 24!
Well that's if I can get down the stairs with my broken legs! I will find that out next weekend for BBWF!

Shame about the red one; It's been through a lot of dealers in the past few years, would be nice
to finally see it on the road where it belongs

Hi
Thanks for the comments, but there may be a problem with the deal, it appears the man has sold it to two people and had money from both!
It sounds like the man is a bit of a con artist!
I am investigating it a bit more, but with two broken legs its not going to be easy!
Andy
Hmmm... he told me he'd sold it a year ago. Now he breaks your legs into the bargain! Hope you sort it out mateThanks for the comments, but there may be a problem with the deal, it appears the man has sold it to two people and had money from both!

Thank you for all your feed back. I am still tempted. Thing it looks great, love the colour combo. Looking at it as a long term keeper but I wouldn't be afraid to use it. Emailed the seller again today (as I did 2 weeks ago) and he has someone on it, paid a deposit apparently, waiting on P/X. Is it finally sold?!!
Yes, that is me. I now have the car, or rather the car is now at my local TVR garage, spluttering, misfiring, idling unevenly, the MIL light occasionally flashing, leaking oil and a tapping sound coming from at least two areas of the engine! This is despite having a full 12,000 mile service and some other bits done by a TVR garage before collection. How serious the issues are I don't know yet.But I went into this with my eyes open though, as it will still be a good car even if it comes to an engine rebuild to get it right.
Then there is the dealer that seems to have held on to two deposits at once. I'm in touch with Andy directly on this but we have to be careful what is said in public for obvious reasons.
The Tvr garage that have stamped the book despite broken engine should be ashamed. Who last serviced it?
I once took my first cerb into the garage who prev owner used to service it, a Tvr dealer near where I lived. They said 'oh that one had a terminal engine'. Thanks I just had it rebuilt.

The car had a PDI in 2001 and it's first service a week ago, a pretty unique set of circumstances.
Once I know what the issues are, I'll be contacting both the dealer that sold me the car and the garage that serviced the car as they both have responsibilities. I'm not happy, but unfair to point fingers at this stage.

And didn't it get a pre purchase inspection. Surely the engine issues would have been obvious ...?
Now some of you have shown concerns about the car, and Rob Ingleby has done a full inspection, and the car is like new, yes its been in store for 11 years, but its been stored well!According to the comment above from Andy, looks like it did...
Btw - Andy will be great to see you at Kimbolton! I really hope the legs are mending correctly.
I hope you get everything sorted, But I am a little surprised that an inspection by a specialist did not pick up on the engine issues. But look even if you have to get a rebuild at £5k you will have a very well sorted car which looks great and the rebuild will give you the confidence to use it as they should. But here's hoping the warranty will pay up but this forum has more than a few posts about third party warrantys that were offered that were ultimatly useless!!.
Good luck
