What "other" wheels are people going with these days?
Discussion
The time has come to spend a few bob on the cosmetics of the Cerb and the 16" Spiders are going to be retired for now.
I have a set of 16" RL-7 (is that whet they're called?) that I could use but I think I'd prefer a set of 18" wheels at this stage as they look sooooo much better than the 16s.
I know Spiders are the obvious wheel when it comes to the Cerb but they're nuts money and the people advertising refurbished ones on their sites don't even reply when I send them emails enquiring about stock etc so I've been thinking of just fitting something else altogether to it.
I stumbled across these ...
https://www.wheelbasealloys.com/alloy-wheels/calib...
and think something like that might just suit for what I'm after but I said I'd ask if there's some aftermarket wheel thats as popular these days as the Spiders were back in the day.
Tell on ....

Personally I think you should fit what wheels you like...there is no right or wrong...spiders were not the original wheels for the Cerb...check out the post TVR or M3... There is a Chianti Cerb pic owned by jhonno that has similar wheels to the ones your looking at (I think)...and I have to say it is a stunning looking car..
Unless these come in a 9 inch width for the rear, they won't fit your rear tyres.
I went with TSW Bathurst 8X17 inch on the front and 9X17 inch on the rear. ET40 offset for both.
Came as a package from Performance Alloys. Yoko AS01 235/40 on front and Goodyear Eagle F1 255/40 on rear.
Reasoning was: very lightweight but strong construction, 17 inch size allows higher sidewall and therefore more predictable on the limit handling.
Not cheap but pleased with looks and effect on handling, very stable now after quaife diff, geo set-up and this combo.

PS this took me weeks of research as the right fitment is so hard to find.
I looked at http://www.willtheyfit.com
then in case of any doubt through a change in offset etc, you will need to measure clearance to your suspension, brakes, steering bumps top etc.
Or I have a cheap set of spiders, needing some refurb, but postage to Ireland might be a problem!
Let us know what you go for in the end.

My car has Work Emotion XT7 wheels on it. They are primarily a drift wheel and about the same weight as the spiders but stronger. I love them.

If you like the spider look but want a bit more strength, or want to go down a size to 17" for better handling, look at Bola B7 wheels. They look just the same, and if you mention you're in the TVR CC and were recommended by a chap called Vaughn Tooze, they might still give you 10% off.

Quite a few people run SP12's quite happily like Aide does

Vaughn Tooze has Bola Spiders I believe (he's on the Facebook Cerbera forum if you want a chat) and others are running Enkei PF07
